Hi Swim

Thanks for message and tips. Any idea where we can buy good wine around us. Stephen said there was a shop close by just as long as we had it within a couple of days of arriving. Have you seen how many posts Egypt has got compared to others. WS is doing really well, lets keep up the good work. It will be great when we all get together over there, and when we are not there we can keep a watchful eye on each others apartment.

When i and a couple of others went to the govt building in january to register our properties we took a copy of our contracts thinking that they might need this. When we offered it to them though they said they didnt need it.
I also asked the guy sitting amongst bails of papers around the room, "what was going to happen to all the papers? Will they get sent to Cairo and processed?"
He answered with a smile and with a wave of his arm and said that
"it would probably all get locked into a room and archived and never seen again. The govt tell us to collect the papers" he says, "but dont tell us what to do with them afterwards! This is Egypt!" he grinned LOL

Hi tammy thanks for your message. Chance would be a fine thing asda would be good but no chance of that happening!!! As waheed comments it sounds like it will be the abu ashara group which is a big egyptian supermarket chain. They have quite a big store in sekalla.

Personally i prefer the metro chain which is a 5 min walk from westside.Just across the road and approx 500 yds on the left. You can buy most things in there,just not alcohol!! LOL. I liken it to tescos over here. Mind you if you choose the right restaurants its just as cheap to eat out. I like starfish restaurant in sekalla- feast for 3 including drinks approx £15 english pounds!! Plus they do deliveries too!! Cheers swim :)

Hiya Jo

We must have posted at the same time, great to see so many feedbacks. I have not yet decided on furniture pack. Did you like any of the choices, I was hoping for some lighter wood. The quality looks good in the pics but I would have liked to have seen some white and cream finishes that are easy to keep clean.

Great news regarding the supermarket, maybe it will be an Asda/Tesco or Sainsburys.LOL.

It sounds like you have made the right decision Dolphin7 escaping our very cold and snowy winter. Thanks also for the feedback on the Tax payments, Its all new to me so I am grateful for any information and advice.

I am actuelly leave in Bournemouth, I came to Hurghada to escape your weather. I though I could have an early complition but I am far from hat .
